Biography
I am a researcher with a strong background in planetary and atmospheric sciences. I earned my Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), the top-ranked university in Russia for natural and physical sciences. My research has focused on the development of analytical instruments and methods for studying the composition and isotopic characteristics of lunar regolith directly on the Moon’s surface, the investigation of the Martian atmosphere, the monitoring of atmospheric methane (including background concentrations and gas pipeline leaks) and the study of greenhouse gas fluxes in the lower atmosphere. Before beginning my academic career, I was a professional swimmer throughout my school years. In addition to my scientific work, I have also spent several years in science journalism, communicating complex research topics to a broader audience.
