At FASTER Laboratory, we are dedicated to addressing both global and KSA challenges.

Our innovative smart sensors provide diagnostic solutions for the healthcare, industrial, environmental and energy sectors. With our laser-based sensors, we effectively monitor, diagnose and help optimize industrial processes.
We support sustainability goals by our research on alternative fuels, such as e-fuels, biofuels, low-carbon and zero-carbon fuels. We use catalytic methods to reduce emissions and to propose novel methods of hydrogen production.
We are building new research facilities to expand our work in aerospace propulsion and ultrafast diagnostics.
Machine-learning / AI tools are applied in almost every facet of our research to maximize the utility of the large amount of data that we generate in our experiments.

  • Creating laser-based sensors as detection tools for diverse applications.
  • Investigating the chemistry of alternative fuels for reducing GHG emissions and achieving net-zero targets.
  • Developing databases of spectral parameters and combustion indicators.
